Where art thou?
Busy in the mind?
Thinking, planning, worrying...
Or, Quiet in the mind?
Reflecting, listening, centering.
Discover the magic of sitting with yourself and just being...
there you will find a peacefulness rise up from within you.
You inhale, and then exhale;
Ready now to take on the world again!

Your Household Climate
What is your Household Climate?
Mostly sunny, where dispositions are mostly sunny and positive. You feel uplifted and happy.
Partly sunny, with an occasional cloud. Some sunshine with the occasional gloom.
Mostly cloudy, where dispositions are mostly negative. You feel drained and tired.
Partly cloudy, with an occasional burst of sunshine.
Warm, where hearts are open and closeness prevails
Cold, where hearts are closed and distance prevails.
Scattered Snow showers, light and fluffy, able to allow things to happen with ease
Scattered Rain showers, pouring of emotion, letting emotions flow.
Stormy, power struggles and conflict prevail. Someone needs their way.
Hurricane Warning, Incoming chaos, must always be prepared
Tornado Warning, Powerful force at risk for rearranging your day,if not your life.
Calm, where peace and tranquility prevail. Home is your respite from the busy world.

A Life in Balance
Do you have trouble creating balance in your life? Life has a way of keeping many of us very busy. With kids, and work, and laundry and groceries, there is little time left over to do the fun things. Life becomes a chore rather than the joyful experience it is meant to be. It is time to balance work with play. It is time to balance your time with others and time for yourself. It is time to balance giving and receiving. It is time to balance talking and listening. There is time to work and time to rest. There is time for work and time for family. When you we live in balance, all is well. There is peace and joy in your living.
Make Yours...A Balanced Life.
Make Yours...A Balanced Life.

Unplugged...
This weekend I had the opportunity to unplug from all that tends to demand my attention in a day. Hence, why there were no posts. I chose to let go of the demands of both the cell phone and the computer, and enjoyed it. We now live in a society that makes it virtually (no pun intended) impossible to unplug. Sure, maybe on occasion the cell phone battery dies and creates an unexpected opportunity to be without technological contact. For the most part, however, people have become increasingly tied to their cell phones and are, therefore, on alert all of the time. Do we really want to be needed that much? There is little if any separation. It is as if we are trained to watch our phones for a blinking light. We thought wireless would make things easier when in fact, they make things constant. You hear a little ping and you immediately pick up your phone to look at the text, the email or the Facebook notification. Give yourself a break sometimes so as to maintain your personal well-being. Learn to unplug….even for just a while. You will not miss anything; you will instead find a sense of peaceful solitude.

In the midst of it all
In the midst of chaos, I find peace.
In the midst of noise, I find silence.
In the midst of confusion, I find clarity.
In the midst of clutter, I find order.
In the midst of pain, I find strength.
In the midst of fear, I find trust.
In the midst of sadness, I find gratitude.
In the midst of anxiety, I find centeredness.
In the midst of a crowd, I find myself.
In the midst of life, I find love.

Harmony
The experience of harmony is one in which all things seem right. There is peace around you, because there is peace emanating from within you. You are at peace. You live in harmony with all things around you. To live harmoniously, one must commit to peaceful living. There is ease in your experiencing of life. Where there is peace and ease, there is always harmony.
Harmony abides within me and around me. I am at peace.

Peace be with you
Do you long for some peace and calm? Is your life busy and hectic? Perhaps you have children who need to be at various events that require a ride, a cheerleading parent, or at the very least, a baked good. It can feel overwhelming to try to juggle the various schedules and needs of yourself and your loved ones. Take a deep breath. No matter where you are, you can always take a breath. Breathe in, breathe out. Surrender. It can all wait a minute while you collect yourself. Let go. Honor the silence within. It is in the silence that you will find peace. It is a letting go, an exhale. Stop what you are doing, if only for a moment. Stop the flurry of thoughts that keep you from enjoying the silence. Breathe peace. Breathe calm. It only takes a few minutes to claim your peace and feel centered. Breathe peace. May peace always be with you.
Ahh… all is well. Sunday, September 18, 2011
Peace in the Heart
How do you cultivate peace in your heart? The sad truth is that many people are restless and spend much, if not all, of their life looking for something to ease their restlessness. The mind is busy. The world is even busier. And so how does one experience true peace? To begin, you might choose a peaceful place; a place that is free of noise, chaos and distraction. Nature often provides a peaceful environment, as well as spending time alone. Some may find peace in a warm bath, or sitting in meditation. Others may include lying in a hammock or on a float in the pool on a warm summer day as peaceful. Peace is a feeling that comes from being at ease. There is a freedom from the worries of life. It is the ability to "be" rather than the need to "do." Peace is a feeling in which all is well with your world. Everything feels right. You are content in the moment, in the experience, in your living. But just how do you reach a content and peaceful place within yourself?
To cultivate peace in your heart one must heal the emotions which would otherwise distract you, You must begin to let go of your fears and your worries. Let go of your anger and resentment. Let go of your hurt and sadness. In this way you free your heart to experience the more wondrous feelings of joy, happiness and peace. It is also important to recognize that peace has a spiritual component. It does not matter what you believe in, only that you believe in somethng greater than yourself that has your best interest at heart. In this way, you have the option to surrender your emotional burdens. Often people confuse spirituality with religion, and are opposed to being a part of anything religious. Spirituality is much more than any particular religion. It is a personalized relationship with the Divine, which may include God, the Angels, the Universe, Buddha, Jesus, Mother Mary, Goddess, or even simply, a willow tree. Often people will experience a feeling of peacefulness when they attend a church or synagogue. Peace dwells within your spirit. When you nourish your spirit in whatever form, you will find peace. Take the time to cultivate peace in your life. Quiet the mind. Become centered. Breathe deeply. Embrace peace....
