Building Walls

Have you ever felt angry or hurt by a person you loved? How did you react? Some people react by fighting for the just cause. They yell in order to feel heard or to be understood. On the other hand, there are people who react by shutting down and repressing their feelings of hurt. They look as if they are refusing to listen, and resist expressing the hurt. The hurt than builds, as does the walls  between themselves and the person they love. As the walls build, it then seems easier to separate than to openly express and resolve feelings. Many divorces can be saved by the expression of hurt and resentment. If you love someone, do what is necessary to communicate your feelings, rather than to shut others out. Break down the wall! You deserve love and connection.
